Role

Cost saving:

Price negotiation

1) Checked pervious purchased price to prevent any higher cost paid by the company and prevent from error.

2) Requested and liaised with suppliers in weekly and monthly basis on price reduction for common products purchased (hardware, servicing, chemical, raw materials, machineries).

Sourcing

3) Continue to source for new suppliers and new products in order to have more comparison and more cost saving

4) Guided new purchasers to assist to liaise with the approached suppliers in order to be source for more good and cost effective products

Monthly consumption

5) Compiled, studied, analyzed and highlighted the respective factory chemical consumption usage and follow up on report submission.

Communication & Document distribution

6) Used, emphasize and continue to remind on use email and system in terms of quotation and document distribution instead of fax

7) Alert with any Memo or Notice issue by the management to take action accordingly.

Latex and Nitrile Planning

8) Ensured that all the factories have enough latex and meet the delivery schedule.

9) Liaised with the suppliers on any non-compliance such as weight and quality which do not meet the specification.

10) Informed all the suppliers on the revised spec.

11) Make sure internal department did follow the instruction given by management, such as banned of driver, carried out tanker checking, and distribute label of no sleeping, CCTV monitoring to driver accordingly.

12) Made sure all the tankers arrived based on the given schedule and respective factories are sufficient of latex stocks.

Productivity and efficiency

13) Guided & train subordinate and new purchasers to perform independently.

14) Liaise with maintenance team on their outstanding requisitions to ensure no extra or unnecessary ordering

15) Verified creditor aging reports, DOs, invoices and GRNs from Account Dept for their further payment arrangement.

16) Liaised with Tax dept on duty/sales tax exemption application and renewal.

17) Arrangement on sold off the factory torn gloves to appointed collectors.

18) Involved in sourcing & prepared TG master price comparison.

19) Involved in audit preparation.

Job Requirements

1) Degree in related field or equivalent from reputable universities.
2) Good command of English & Malay (spoken and written).
3) Results oriented, strong follow up and good negotiation skills.
4) Pleasant personality and able to interact all level of people.
