Duties & Responsibilities
- 01) To lead the delivery of the required level of E&I Engineering in line with the business needs and project requirements for improvements to new and existing operations.
- 02) Working within the multidiscipline engineering teams to lead the development of basic E&I engineering design for project definitions.
- 03) Then working to support the full project lifecycle through the execution of projects, including design documentation and calculation, safety assessments commissioning, and start-up.
- 04) Supports the development of technical excellence within the local E&I engineering functions.
- 05) Ensure end-user satisfaction is regarded as of utmost importance.
- 06) Provide full support to ensure projects are delivered to best in class SHE standards, to the required quality, within time, and budget.
- 07) Prepare basic and detailed engineering documentation as required to support the execution of projects.
- 08) Responsible for checking & approval of in-house and third-party design engineering activities & deliverables to ensure compliance to Top Glove and relevant international standards.
- 09) Provide E&I Engineering cost estimates to Project Managers. Ensure all related information is suitably documented and updated.
- 10) Organize and participate in risk assessments and safety studies of designs.
- 11) Prepare test plans, procedures, and functional progress report to ensure on-time delivery of plant mechanical completion.
- 12) Actively supports the commissioning team and start-up activities through to handover to end-user.
- 13) Supports the development and implementation of Engineering Best Practices.
- 14) Provides engineering support activities for manufacturing facilities.
- 15) Ensures all engineering work meets the required company standards and statutory compliance.
- 16) Proposes best available technology that will aid cost reduction, improvement in production quality, reduction of energy and total asset life cycle costs.
- 17) Reports on E&I Technician’s performance to the Maintenance Manager and project activity progress to Project Managers. Coach other junior members of the team.
